Hello everyone!
Today, I’m going to be showing you a very simple, yet elegant, hairstyle. This is great for formal occasions, holiday parties, or for everyday! It’s very versatile, and you can really dress it up, or play casual. 😉
items needed: 2 bands, 2 bobby pins
difficulty: easy
time needed: 10 minutes
Step 1: Begin with a side part, and, from the heavy side of the part, pick up a 1 inch section of hair. Split into 2 sections.
Step 2: We are about to begin a lace twist. To do a lace twist, start with the 2 strands, and twist them together, away from your face, once. Then, add some hair to the strand closest to your face, and twist again. Continue doing this all the way down to your ear. Once you reach your ear, continue with a rope braid. You can reference a previous post of mine, if you want to see how to do a rope twist: Secure with an elastic.
Step 3: On the other side of your head, grab a large section of hair, and do a rope twist.
Step 4: Tie the two rope twists with an elastic. I like to tie mine near the nape of my neck for a looser, more elegant look. Remove the elastic from the first braid.
Step 5: Pancake the twists, to make them look really full.
Step 6: Grab a small inch section from underneath the band. Split into two sections, an do one more rope twist. Then, wrap it around the elastic, and secure the braid with two bobby-pins.
…And there you have it! A very quick, yet beautiful hairstyle. I love this one a lot, especially since you don’t need a lot of materials or time to do it. If you want it to look extra fancy, you can add some curls to really get some movement through the hair.
I hope you guys like this hairstyle! Let me know what you think of it. Have a great weekend!
