Dutch Braided Double Bun

Hello Everyone!

Sophia here. 😉 Today, I am showing you a super cute and easy hairstyle that is really spunky and fun. Its perfect for every season.

Level of difficulty: easy

Time needed: 10 minutes

Items needed: 2 bands

Step 1: Part hair to your liking. Just make sure to part from the crown of your head to the nape of your neck in the middle. I parted the top in a side part. Section one side off with a band.

Step 2: On the other side, pick up a 1 inch section of hair from the top of your head, and begin a dutch braid. You can reference how to do a dutch braid here.

Step 3: Once you reach the crown of your hair, stop braiding, and gather the entire section into a ponytail. Twist the ponytail, and coil it around the band, forming a bun. Wrap an elastic around the bun to secure it. Personally, the band holds the bun securely for me, but if you’d like, you can add some bobby-pins for extra holding power. 😉

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the other side of your head. You can pull on the hairstyle a little to make it look a tad messier and loose.

  1. Well done, Sophia! It’s beautiful! I’ll have to see about trying this one on myself.. Gotta be honest, I’ve never liked this hairstyle on myself, but you made it look so cute I’m willing to try and see! xD I mean, I won’t be able to make it look as cute as you do, but, I’ll at least see about trying it. 😉 Beautiful post, and beautiful hair, Sophia–as always! ❤

    1. Aw Em, you’re so sweet! To be honest I never thought I’d wear something like this either, because I thought I wouldn’t look good, but then I tried it–and I liked it a lot! 😀 Personally, I like it best when everything has a looser feel, and maybe some hair framing the face. I makes it look a tad more mature if you get what I’m saying. 😉 I hope you like the way yours turns out!
