Hey hey hey everybody! Today, I have this super beautiful hairstyle—modeled by my super beautiful sister!—that is super easy, and great for the Spring/Summer themes!
Items needed: 3 elastics, hairbrush, hairspray, and bobby pins—if desired
Time: 10-15 minutes
Difficulty: medium
Alrighty! Let’s get to it!
1. To start, make sure that the hair is brushed, and if frizzy, I would recommend hairspraying it first.
2. To begin the mermaid braid, take a section of hair from the front, and bring to the back of the head. Then, begin a simple three-strand braid. Your hair should look something like this:
3. Now, pancake the braid, then secure with an elastic.
4. Now pic up a section of hair on the left side of the head..
5. Then, begin to fishtail-braid the left section of hair. Pancake the braid, then secure with an elastic.
6. Repeat steps 4-5 on right side. Your hair should now look something like this:
{Make sure that you leave behind a bit of hair with the three-stranded braid!}
7. Now, gather all the hair together and braid it into a plait (using the fishtail braids for your left and right sections, and the three-stranded braid/leftover hair for the middle)—while you are braiding, make sure you pull out the other elastics (if desired), that way you don’t see them in the final look. (;
8. Hairspray—if desired. Also, if there are any spots that seem to be needing some pinning, bobby pin to your desire!
