Double Dutch Braid Pull-through Messy Bun

Hi everyone!

Today I am going to show you how to create this double dutch braid pull-through messy bun. I love this hairstyle because it is very versatile and perfect for those days when you just want your hair out of your face but still looking cute. This hairstyle works on short hair as well as medium length and long hair!

Lets get started!

*******************

Items needed: 2 small hair elastics, 1 hair band, 4-6 bobby pins as needed // Time needed 10-15 minutes // Difficulty: medium

*******************

1.) Start by parting your hair into a middle part until you read the middle of the crown of your head. Brush the rest of the hair back.

2.) Trace a line one both sides starting from where the part line ends down towards the back of your ears and to the nape of your neck. If this doesn’t make sense, the picture should explain everything. 😉 Tie it off with the hair band. Basically your just sectioning off the hair that is going to be used for the dutch braids.

3.) Started on one side, do a dutch braid until you run out of hair. Continue doing a regular braid and secure with an elastic. Repeat on the other side.

4.) Release the hair that was secured with the hair band and do a pull through messy bun. Basically start tying your hair as if you are doing a regular pony tail, but instead of pulling all the way through and twisting the band, pull it only half way through before twisting the hair band. Pull the bun to make it fluffier.

5.) Now grab your two braids and cross them over the bun and wrap them under. Secure with bobby pins.
