Winter Double Dutch-braided Hairstyle

Hello everyone and welcome back!

I’m super excited to show you how to create this double dutch-braided hairstyle. This hairstyle is so cute in all seasons but especially in the winter. Shout out to my dog Charlie for posing so well for these pictures. And HUGE shoutout to my sister Sophia (an author on here as well) for taking such beautiful pictures in this gloomy California weather. < 3

Items needed: 2 small hair elastics, 6-8 small hair clips as needed // time needed: 10 minutes // difficulty: easy

let’s get started!

******************************************

1.) Start with your hair in a middle part. You can do a side part as well but it is more even with a middle part.

2.) Grab a small section of hair and do a dutch braid straight back. Once you reach the end of the crown of your head secure your braid with an elastic.

3.) Repeat on the other side. Pancake the braids by pulling gently on the outer edges of the braid to make it looser and fluffier. Your hair should look something like this.

4.) Twist one of the ponytails and twist it into a bun. Secure it with the small hair clips.

  1. Life is so funny…I was cooling down from a ten-minute bike ride in 40+ heat (degrees Celcius), then I checked my emails and the new post was a winter hairstyle! Irony and laughter aside though, this is a lovely hairstyle Sabrina! ❤ I love dutch braids and you do them so beautifully. 🙂 I'll have to try this out!

  2. So pretty Sabrina! ❤ And the photography is stunning!!! Sophia did an AMAZING job (I know how hard it can be to get good pics in the gloomy weather 😉 )

Btw where do you take these pictures? because the scenery is always so nice!
