Today I am going to show you how to create this DIY scarf bun.
It’s super easy and also perfect for those days when your hair just isn’t cooperating with you. ( : Let’s get started!
Items needed: 1 hair band, 4 small hair clips, 1 hair scarf // time needed: 5-7 minutes // difficulty: easy
1.) Start by parting your hair how you like it best.
2.) Gather your hair and start to tie it like you would a low ponytail, but only pull your hair halfway through before twisting the hair band back and looping it around to create a messy bun. It sounds complicated but look at the pictures and you’ll understand!
3.) Grab pieces of your bun and clip them to make your shape how you like it.
your hair should look something like this…
4.) Grab your hair scarf and tie it in a double knot around your bun.
and that’s it! Here are the final pictures!

I need a scarf small enough to do this!
yes! Or you can substitute the scarf by rolling up a bandana!
This is gorgeous!! Thanks for the tutorial!
thank you so much! I’m glad you like it ( :
So cute and easy!! Glad it works for shorter hair too… I just got a haircut and it’s sad my hair won’t work in two fast braids anymore. 😉
I definitely know the feeling!! This is one of my absolute favorite easy hair styles since it works even when I’m having a bad hair day haha.
