Hello Everyone!
First off I’d like to apologize for this post getting up a couple days late…I’m so glad to finally be here posting one of my favorite hairstyles. My double bun hairstyle is so versatile because it looks great with dresses and pant-outfits alike. It’s great for bad-hair days and those days when you just want your hair out of face. Best of all, it puts a super fun twist on a regular bun hairstyle. (:
This hairstyle also works on many lengths of hair, and is great for sports!
Let’s get started!
**************************
Items needed: 2 hair elastics, 10-12 bobby pins (as needed) // time needed: 7-10 minutes // difficulty: easy
**************************
1.) Start with your hair in a middle part. Then tie off one side with an elastic to keep it out of the way. (A side part will work too, but a middle part ensures both sides are even.)
2.) Pick up one side of your hair as if you are going to do a high side ponytail. Tie your hair into a pull-through messy bun. To do this only pull your hair half-way through the elastic before twisting it around.
Your hair should look something like this…
3.) Grab pieces of the bun and bobby pin them down to better create the shape you want.
Your hair should now look something like this…
4.) Repeat on the other side.
Aaand that’s it! Here are the final pictures!
I hope you enjoyed this hairstyle! Don’t forget to leave a comment down below and if you have any hairstyle requests, please leave them here!
See ya!

So cute! This looks really good on you Sabrina! 🙂
thank you soooo much, Clare!
I absolutely love this! I don’t know if I can pull off the two messy-bun look, but I think this technique can also work for a traditional messy-bun too! Can’t wait to try it out! 🙂
thank you! I would try it out and see if you like it…changing the positioning makes a difference too (putting them more near the back of your head etc) but yes this technique works for a single messy bun too!
This is so cool.
thanks!
I really love this hair style!I tried it out on my long hair, I just had to use a few more bobby pins, but I like it:)
