Double Updo | Easy Curly Hairstyles

Hey everyone! Today I’m back with a super easy diy hairstyle! It’s perfect for almost any skill level and takes just a couple of minutes to create. Another awesome thing about this hairstyle is that it’s great for bad hair days, hard to manage hair, or just when you want a more unique looking hairstyle!

One of my younger sisters is modelling again for me today, but as I said this is so simple that you’ll easily be able to do this on your own hair. 😉

Items needed: 2 hair ties, and a handful of bobby pins

Time: 3-5 minutes

Skill level: Easy

Step-by-step instructions:

1.) Start with your hair down and with no part line.

2.) Now section off about half of the top of your hair and secure at the back of your head with a hair tie.

3.) Now twist this section of hair. And then gently go back tugging on the twist to loosen it up a bit and make it look more full.

4.) All you need to do now is form a bun and pin it in place (you’ll want it to pin so its reasonably flat against your head.) It should look something like this when you’re done:

5.) Now repeat steps 2-4; start by securing your second ponytail straight underneath the first bun.

6.) Now all you need to do is make sure that the two buns are secured very close to each other (you can use more bobby pins to attach them to each other. Adjust to your liking, and you’re done!

I really love how this hairstyle turned out!

I’ve actually done this hairstyle quite a few times over the last few weeks in my sister’s hair and we both really like how it turned out. I know Sabrina did just do a double bun hairstyle last week, so hopefully you don’t mind two bun hairstyles in a row. 😉

This could actually be a really nice formal updo in my opinion, especially if you curl your hair and leave some strands of hair out around your face. Let me know if you like this or would give it a try and I’ll be back next week with another tutorial!
