Hi everyone! It’s Clare back here again for another tutorial. This is a cute combo I did a few times in my hair a couple of weeks ago and really liked it.
One of my favourite things about this hairstyle is that you can pretty much do this without even looking in a mirror. Or if you do need a mirror you don’t need one to see what you’re doing from the back because the braid is done over your shoulder. 😉 So it’s super quick and actually a lot more simple than it looks.
It’s such a cute summer/spring hairstyle don’t you think? 😀
Items needed: 1 hair tie
Time: 5-7 minutes
Difficulty: medium
Step-by-step instructions:
1.) Start by parting your hair to one side…
2.) Next pick up a small section of hair on the heavier side of your part and divide into the sections to begin a regular lace braid.. (basically it’s just a french braid, except that you only add hair in on one side (in this case the bottom section. Or the section closest to your face.)
3.) Once you get to just behind your ear, stop adding in hair and just continue the braid by doing a normal plait…
4.) Now gather all your hair over the shoulder (on the same side you just lace braided) and do a fishtail braid (making sure to add your lace braid in at the start) all the way down. I added in fairly thick pieces of hair while fishtail-braiding for a more chunky look, but also so it was quicker.
5.) Secure with an elastic, and pancake the braids as desired. (You can also add some hairspray if you feel you need it) Then you’re done!
and here’s the final look:
Let me what you thought of this style down in the comments, and if you have an questions about this style, please don’t hesitate to ask! 🙂
As a side note: we just did a post on my family’s website about Chivalry: the lost art of being a true man which has some short videos done by the band FOR KING & COUNTRY. Aside from these videos the band also started something called the ‘Priceless Movement’ telling women that they are a Priceless gift from God and deserve to be treated as such. (that’s the brief version of it anyway, search it if you want to know more about it 😉 ) We’re trying to share this around as much as possible so if you’d like to check it out and maybe share it with some friends, that would be awesome! https://catholichomeschoolaustralia.com/2019/03/26/chivalry-the-lost-art-of-being-a-true-man
Well that’s all I have for you today, enjoy the rest of your week & happy hairstyling!
Ooooh, so pretty! I’ll look into the videos and all when I get a chance.
Aw thank you! I’m so glad you like it! (: Awesome!
