Hey everyone! Today is going to be a bit of a different post (as you can tell from the title.) I got my hair cut a week or two ago and thought I’d share a couple of before and after pics with you. 😉

I’ve actually been wanting to get my hair cut for quite a few months now, but kept putting it off because I didn’t know of any good hairdressers in my area (I moved to another state towards the end of last year.) But eventually we found one just up the street from where I live and I decided to just go ahead and do it. Because if I’m perfectly honest, I was getting a little sick of having soo much hair to deal with on a daily basis (and it took forever to wash & dry it!)

Before I got my hair cut it was measured at 30 inches long. In the end I got about 12 inches cut off which is quite a lot, but I’m pretty happy with the length it is now, and it’s so much quicker to wash and style (which is super helpful as weather is starting to get cooler.)

Now you may be wondering about my post from last week; I did actually have my hair short by then, but because I was wanting to do this post, you’ll notice I didn’t include any pictures showing the full length of my hair in them..;)

Now here is a before and after picture of my hair on the day I actually got it cut. I apologize for the poor quality, it was taken as I was rushing out the door to the appointment (for some reason my hair looks very dry and unhealthy which is not what it’s normally like, oh well 😉 ).. And then the after one isn’t the best comparison since it was taken closer up and the hairdresser had also straightened my hair.. but hopefully it gives you a rough idea. 😉

If you’re thinking of getting your long hair cut at the moment, I say just go for it. You don’t necessarily have to get off as much as I did, but I think most people will find it’s such a nice change to have shorter hair for a bit. Plus, there are a bunch of different styling options that I couldn’t really do with my very long hair that I can do now, which is awesome!
