Super Easy DIY Half-Up

Hey everyone! Today I have a super simple hairstyle for all of the beginners out there! It only takes a minute or two to do, and you’ll have a super pretty hairstyle! This half-up bun is perfect for when you want to get your hair out of your face but still want to have some out, and you can really dress it up by adding some curls or hair accessories to it.

My friend Maria (who also posts occasionally on here) will be modelling this hairstyle today. Let us know if you’d like to see more posts like this one. 😉

Items needed: a few bobby pins, and a rubber elastic (optional)

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 1-2 minutes

Step-by-step instructions:

1.)  Start with your hair down and either parted in the middle or to one side (you could also pull your hair straight back..)

2.) Next, gather some hair from around your ears and pull to the back of you head. I left a few strands out at the front to frame the face and create a slightly more mature look to the style.

3.) Once you have the hair gathered to the back of your hair you can either just twist the hair and then gently pull the edges of the twist to create a slightly more messy look and then twist into a bun & pin.

Or, you can secure the hair with a rubber hair tie at the back of your head first and then twist ect. It’s really up to you. 😉

4.) Pin the bun in place and adjust everything to your liking (I tugged on the hair around the crown area just a bit to create a little more texture and volume. 😉 )

5.) Add hairspray or a hair accessory as desired and you’re done!

Anndd that’s it for today, if you’d like to see more posts like this, let me know down in the comments, & please feel free to take our survey 😉
