Knotted Ponytail Accent | Sport Hairstyle

Hey everyone! Today I have this really simple sports hairstyle!

It only takes a minute or two, so you can do it when you’re in a hurry, but still want to have a cute style for sport. 😉

Items needed: one hair tie

Difficulty: Easy-medium

Time: 1-3 minutes

Step-by-step instructions:

1.) Start with your hair down and no part:

2.) Next, pick up a small section of hair at the front of your head on the left side..

3.) Basically, what you want to do now is tie a knot in the section of hair you’re holding (making sure it’s as close to the front of your head as possible.) It may take a couple of tries at first but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty simple.

4.) Once you have the section knotted, either clip the ends of the hair to your head so the knot doesn’t come loose while you’re doing the other ones. Or, if you’re doing this style in someone else’s hair then get them to hold the ends against their head.

5.) Repeat steps 3-4 on the next section of hair, which will be next to the first one your just did (in the middle of your head ;).) make sure it’s about the same size as the previous section.

6.) Repeat the same steps on the last section of hair which will be on your right side next to the middle section you just knotted.

7.) When you have all the sections knotted, gather the rest of your hair into a ponytail, making sure you hold the ends of the knots tight so they don’t come loose when you’re gathering up all your hair.

8.) After you have your ponytail secured, you can adjust the knots to make them look bigger ect. It’s also ok if it looks a little messy, and not 100% perfect, since that’s the look I was going for. 😉

Annd you’re done!

I’d love to know what you thought of this hairstyle in the comments, and if you would try it! Until next time, happy hairstyling!
