Hey everyone! Today I’m going to show you my 19mm wand curls/waves. I recently cut my hair quite a bit shorter, so I’ve been experimenting with different ways to curl my hair. Here’s one of my favourite methods for more formal/party curls. 😉
These curls are perfect for parties (and all those holiday function happening at the moment!) because they’re fairly simple, and don’t take much time. 😉
Items needed: 19mm curling wand (or one fairly close in size), a scrunchie, hair tie or hair clip for sectioning, and hair mousse or hairspray (optional).
Time: 10-15 minutes (give or take a few minutes depending on your skill and type of hair.)
Difficulty: Medium
If your hair is frizzy after you’re finished curling, I would run a little hair mousse through to smooth it. (I prefer using a mousse over a hairspray because I have more control that way, but use whichever works best for you. 😉 )
These curls will generally loosen up as the day goes on (which I tend to prefer at I think it looks a little bit better on my short hair 😉 ). But for any questions or tips, please comment them down below, and I’ll be happy to answer them for you!
And that’s it!
I hope you found this tutorial helpful. Please let me know in the comments if you would like for me to show you how to do different curls with other sized barrels (size as a 25mm ect.) and also if you’d prefer to see it on long or short hair!
Looks great! I’ll have to try that for Christmas.
Thanks Christi! I’d love to know how they turn out if you do! 🙂
So pretty! ❤ 😀
Thanks Therese!
