Hello Everyone!

I am so excited that summer is just around the corner!

Today I am going to show you this super cute bandanna top-knot hairstyle. Let’s get started!

Items Needed: 1 hair elastic, bandanna // time needed: 5-8 minutes (or less!) // difficulty: easy

1.) Start with your hair in a middle part (or a side part works too!)

tip: When my hair is wet I love to spray it with a sea salt hair mist. It adds a lot of texture and gives your hair beach-like waves. That’s what I did today. (:

2.) Grab a 1 inch section of hair from one side of the part and begin to do a french braid straight back. Make sure to use smaller pieces of hair when you add strands in. Stop adding strands in just a couple of inches before the crown of your head ends. Do a couple stitches without adding in strands and temporarily secure with an elastic. Repeat this step with the other side. Now your hair should look something like this.

3.) Release the elastic and gather your braids and a bit more hair from the back (you will use this part of your hair for the top-knot). Tie your hair as if you are doing a regular half up ponytail, but on the last twist of the elastic, pull your hair half-way through. Pull gently on the outer ends of the top-knot to make it more fluffy.

4.) Roll up your bandanna and wrap it around your top knot and tie it in a secure knot, leaving the ends hanging on the side.
