Hello everyone and welcome back!
Today I’m going to show you how to do the dutch-braided summer ponytail. This ponytail is super versatile because you can wear it for everyday, for sports, or even for a more special occasion (I would recommend doing some wand curls though!). It’s also great because it works on almost any hair length since you basically just need to be able to get your hair into a low ponytail.
Alright let’s get started!
***********************************************
Items needed: 1 hair band, 2 small hair elastics, 2 bobby pins // time needed: 5-10 minutes // difficulty: easy-medium
Step-by-step intructions:
1.) Start by parting your hair into a side part. You can do a middle part too, basically any part works for this.
2.) Pick up about a one inch section of hair and begin to do a dutch braid. Once you reach your ear, stop adding in strands and just continue braiding back. Secure with a small hair elastic.
3.) Repeat on the other side and then pancake both braids.
4.) Criss cross the braids over each other and then gather all your hair into a low ponytail. Secure with a hair band. Pick up a small strand of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the hair band and secure with one or two bobby pins as needed.

thank you so much! This comment makes me so happy ( :
Wow! I’m definitely trying this, although I might take the elastics out of my ponytail. This would look great especially if you waved the bottom of your hair! I love this!
Thank you! ^.^
I actually do a variation of this hairstyle on a daily basis, by parting my hair into a side part and then taking a section 1 inch from my hair line in the thicker side of the part and Dutch braiding it to the back of my head (high for a high ponytail) and then taking the section in front of the previous section (so, the part closest to the forehead) and lace braiding it to my ear (taking strands only from the hairline close to the ear and temples) and finishing it with a three strand braid. Then I put my hair in a high ponytail with an elastic, leaving the lace/three stand braid out, and then wrap the lace/three strand braid around the elastic. It’s very pretty ❤️
This hairstyle will be a nice twist on my daily one! Thanks for posting!
